University of Petra (UOP) is located in western Amman of Jordan, established in 1992, offers a variety of programs throughout seven colleges. UOP has achieved the ISO 9001 of management for supporting higher education certificate, and the certificate of quality assurance of the Higher Education Accreditation Commission. Moreover, the UOP is the 1st runner-up on the QS ranking of private universities in Jordan.
With the development of e-learning, e-library and high speed communication facilities, UOP has transformed itself into a smart campus where students and faculty interact with knowledge to develop their state-of-the-art skills with an aim towards enhancing entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity. For this reason UOP Auditorium (Theatre) installed BXB’s UFO-2000 series conference system.
University authority’s main request was the best sound quality, easy operation, camera tracking, and more importantly installable to the chair. Based on customer requirement, BXB offered armchair and flush-mounted microphone for the auditorium choice. This project included UFO-2050 main control unit, UFO-2070 control software with 1 chairman and 23 flush-mounted delegates. It’s integrated with Panasonic and d&b speakers, and Sony camera.
UFO-2000 series main features are running with Cat5E cable for RJ-45 four ports, LCD screen on the main controller shows conference setting configuration, RS-232 interface integrates with BXB graphical control software, and auto test function can identify connection drop in order to take necessary action to ensure meeting smoothly held. Main control unit has built in sound-emission circuit to prevent echo and noise, adjustable for mic auto-off function from 10 to 99 seconds. Graphical control software adapted 14 different languages, all meeting minutes can be recorded in MP3 format.
BXB’s conference range includes table-top, flush-mounted, and armchair microphones for customer’s choice in order to be in harmony with their design. UOP Auditorium installed flush-mounted microphone with stylish aluminum extrusion, electrets condenser stem microphone, that is adapted earphone and record jack, with volume control. Its pluggable gooseneck microphone can be removed when the university organizes different activities.
UOP President Dr. Adnan Badran said that “We really like aluminum flush-mounted microphone, this quality and design is absolutely what we need to adapt in our auditorium”. BXB’s agent Loriana Co.Ltd. carried out this project in Jordan. It’s designed by project manager Mr. Fikri Qadri.
